Hi there to all!
I am normally on the lyme disease forum but I have been getting some weird stuff. I can deal with all over body pain and fatigue and even heart palps but when it comes to my breathing, well, that's just plain scary!
Here are my symptoms:
A month ago, bad virus with vomiting, dry heaving etc and I think I damaged my esophagus.
So, then, after done with virus, started a cough and  have been coughing ever since.
It seems I am short of breath maybe once a day but I really, really cough after I have eaten something. I do cough up mucus but again, definitely after I have eaten. I don't want to eat anymore! Also, noticing heartburn alot easier too.
Any suggestions? And thanks in advance!
Hugs,
Robin O.

Robin O, I think you should get an endoscopy to see if you really did damage your esophagus. That's my humble opinion. I don't think that anyone here can tell you if you have GERD or not. I think it should be medically diagnosed.

If you are, indeed, having heartburn then you really might have reflux. You might want to get checked for other things too (if you are having trouble breathing it could be a number of things. It could even be asthma since you say that you are coughing up mucous). I have trouble breathing at times and it is from rigorous GERD. But doctors checked me before they diagnosed me with it.

Good luck, friendlygal
