Hi - I just got back from my PCP and was prescribed Singulair to see if it will help.  How long have you had sinus issues & the sore throat?  I think I have always had the sinus draining for as long as I can remember, but the GERD is a new issue.  It started about three months ago, but I didn't start taking anything (Prilosec) until about three weeks ago.  Believe it or not, the heartburn and acid reflux is much better, but I still have a mild sore throat and a filling like something is stuck in my throat (but not all the time).  My PCP said my "GERD throat" looked greatly improved, but there was visible drainage down the back - basically you get a mucus ball (yuk).  She did say that I have all the signs of an allergy nose and throat.  And yes, the throat will feel like it is swollen or stuck from the allergies.  I just hope that the Singulair does the trick, so you may want to ask your doctor about this.  Also, she gave me a Z Pack if the Singulair doesn't appear to work (give ti about 10 to 14 days), because it could be sinusitis.  My next course of action will be going to an ENT doctor if things don't improve.  Good luck!

I have this symptom as well pretty much all the time.  I know I have acid reflux but this may be caused by LPR which is similar except it involves the higher sphincter valve in the esophogus as opposed to the lower one.  Not sure if this is related or caused by FM or other but I also have frequent neck pain, its as if my muscles in the neck are sore from holding my head up all day and is worse at night. My jaw aches to especially if I sit with my ching resting on my fists for any period, like when I am my computer and since computers are my trade this is pretty annoying.  Not sure if you have these as well but I definitely have yours.  I think for me caffeine and sugar are triggers for my reflux.
