I woke up about midnight with a terrible "bubble" in my chest. I thought I would die with pain. I have had this before and it was a bad heartburn gas attack. I had no other symptoms, so it was not heart related. First I took 3 Gaviscon. It eased some, so I layed back down. Within a few minutes it started again. I took a Pepcid AC and 3 more Gaviscon. It eased quite a bit then. I slept for about an hour. I woke again with the bubble. This time I took Apple cider vineger and honey (had helped before with heartburn and gas). No luck. I ate a bannana. Some easing, but still there. I took 2 more Gaviscon. It began to ease and I was able to sleep again. When I woke up at about 7:30, I had a smaller bubble, but still some pain. I ate a light breakfast and stayed up. After about an hour the pain went away. It is now 4 PM and all is well. I suspect that I ate too much dinner last night and ate too late. I know I need at least 3 hours to digest my food. It was stupid of me to do that. It'l be a long time before I make that mistake again. Lately, instead of getting a burning sensation, I get the bubble (still call it heartburn though). Anyone else have a bubble instead of burning?
