I'm not sure where to post this as this really does apply to the entire board, so I've posted my comment & question in 2 different threads....>>I'm a bit concerned and upset. I've waited 6 days for my vitamins to be delivered from Vitamin World and they arrived late this afternoon via UPS...but the truck must have been very hot inside because when I opened the box, the vitamin bottles were hot to the touch and stayed that way for an hour.  Over the last several years I've read  that heat will kill vitamins, so needless to say I was concerned and for what I paid for these, I sure didn't want to end up with vitamins that were not going to be any good. I called Vitamin World [where I'd ordered the vitamins from] and after the 1st person wouldn't help me and I asked for a supervisor. The supervisor was helpful and did what she could and agreed to let me take the vitamins to a local Vitamin World store and exchange them. I hope the store will do that...I'll see in just a bit as my husband is going to take me so I can exchange them.  What concerns me is all the people who have ordered vitamins over the phone and their vitamins have gotten hot in the delivery truck, but when the vitamins are delivered those people dont' know the vitamins have gotten hot or don't phone the co and tell them of the problem and the result is that they may end up spending lots of money on vitamins that are essentially no more use than taking a drink of tap water. So, does anyone know or can anyone tell me where to research >>>....how hot can vitamins get without loosing their potency [so that they haven't lost their nutritional value]?

Also, can any one tell me where to look to see which vitamins and which companies have actually checked their vitamins to be sure the vitamin strenght/potency stated on the bottle is actually what's in the bottle?

Oh, one interesting thing I found out that I didn't know during all this...is that Vitamin World and Puritan Vitamins are sister companies. I wonder if that means you'd get the same vitamins no matter which co you bought them from and the only difference would be the label...does any one know? Thanks
