I have read recently that honey helps relieve GERD.
Has anyone tried it, and if so what happened?
Is there a particular kind that we need to take?
Do we just buy the kind from the grocery store...
Thanks in advance for your input.

My grandmother was from Quebec, a little island in the St Laurence river.
Whenever we got sore throats, my mom would call her up and she would come over and make us this concoction. The two of them would prepare some "magic" thing in the kitchen and then call us all up to take a few tablespoons. It tasted delicious and worked like a charm . I always thought there was some strange secret ingredient that made this remedy so effective.
It turned out to be the following: she would take egg whites, honey, and glycerin and whip all that up into a fluffly cloud that just tasted so yummy.
If it worked for a sore throat, I wonder if it would work for acid reflux.?

I tried it. I even bought the top of the line stuff.  Medicinal honey for 6 months. Did nothing. I have LPR.

Hi there. I have read that honey does work for releieving GERD symptoms, as it coats your throat.

Just like anything though, what works for one may not work for the next.

I think it is worth a try though, it can't hurt anything, ya know?

Wishing you all the best!
