I recently bought a watr Ionizer for $1600, don't buy it, it does not work. It supose to increase the PH in the water, and thus lowering the acidity in your stomach when you drink it.

Well, I've been drinking for 2 months and no effect.

Have you ever tried the no chlorine in water treatment. I don't think it made a different for me.

I drink Fuji water.  It has a high PH.

Fiji doesn't have a high pH; it's a 7--completely neutral. There's a bottled water called eVamor that has a pH of 9 and it's all natural. I've only been drinking it for a few weeks but have already noticed a difference. I'd try that and see if it helps.

Oh, Ok..I thought that "7" was a high PH.  At least someone else advised that Fiji was good for the high ph (is it fiji or fuji..LOL)...

How is it that you've seen a difference in drinking eVamor (never heard of it)?  Not as much heartburn/LPR??

Friendly Gal....I thought I read that somewhere too....Fiji is suppossed to be great water for higher pH....
I have never heard of eVamor????  Where do you get it???  Is it one of those waters like Voss that cost $3.00 a bottle tongue ?
You have to know that if I thought it would work to make this evil thing go away, I would pay $100.00 a bottle.
I live in AZ so maybe it just can't be purchased out here.
Anyway, let us know!!!

Fiji has a PH of 7.5, not 7 (I checked yesterday when I drank some).  I drink it, but it hasn't cured my GERD, though it's healthy.  I doubt the other water would either.  So I wouldn't want to pay so much money for the other water.  I'm going to try the probiotic In-Liven.  It sounds like the best!

Hi Friendly Gal....I was just joking about the $100 bottle of water...but as you know this GERD is really a pain in the *&#@ and I am working so hard to try and get rid of it without having to go back on the PPIs.  Anyway, good luck with the probiotics, I am going back on them today as well(just a lesser version, the ones I had were critical care designed more for the colon not the stomach).  I also have had some luck drinking the probiotic yogurt drink DanAcitive and they don't taste bad.
Have a great day!!

Hi, TroubledTummy!! :)

How have the DanActive made you feel better?

They don't do a thing for me...Maybe you have eaten them longer?

Also, the "critical care" probiotics, did you mean that they were from the hospital?

I bet it takes a long time for anything to work, at least for me!

I was soooo sad today because this woman told me that her brother had GERD and he died of stomach and esophageal cancer. :(  He smoked and drank a lot though, so I'm sure that made his GERD worse...And...not sure but I think that I heard that (white) men are more likely than women to get esophageal cancer...

Hi Friendly Gal...today is probably not a good day for me to answer any questions about feeling better...It truly makes me crazy when I start feeling better and then something happens and there I go again!  Anyway,I just do notice a difference when I drink the DanActive, things don't bother me as bad, it took a good 2 weeks for me to notice a difference and sometimes I drink 2 day.

The "critical care" was just what the probiotic class was from the manufacturer....Just a really really strong strain of bacteria.  I bought them at Sprouts...the guy ended up saying that they were more designed for a colon issue more than a stomach issue.

I also have to say that I have really been trying to cut the stress and anxiety out of my life, it is hard sometimes because I have 2 small children, but I have really been trying.  I actually quit my job for the summer and I do believe that it has been helpful, of course today nothing has been helpful, but that is how it goes sometimes.

I am sorry that you were sad today, I have been told that a few people do develop the cancer, but I think the smoking and drinking were more of a contributor than the GERD.  I must tell you that I spend a lot of time scared because of this stuff, whether it is me worried about the pain being related to my heart or scared over cancer....this disease does consume us one way or another.  I am coming more and more to the conclusion that stress and anxiety at the root of this.  I am always worse when I am stressed or overwhelmed.

I am determined to beat it though!!!
Please take care of you and we will beat it!!!
