I have been suffering for more than a year now with burping nonstop, pain in chest, and terrible throat symptoms (such as choking all the time!!)...
Since the PPIs don't work for me at all, and I've tested negative for h.pylori, I am thinking now that perhaps I have an enzyme problem...
I was anorexic (didn't eat for loooong periods of time...anorexia = loss of apetite.  I did not starve because I thought I was fat though...not "anorexia nervosa.")
Anyway, so it is quite possible that something else is causing my terrible reflux...
which doctor checks out the liver/pancreas?? there a blood test that checks out enzymatic levels??
