I am thoroughly confused about what a GERd diet is.  I read online that mashed potatoes are bad for GERd, but that baked potatoes are fine?? What's the difference if you are not putting anything in them anything anyway??

Are apples good to eat?  OR do they cause burping??

I get so confused.  I have been diagnosed with extremely terrible GERd, so I reflux everything I eat and my body doesn't respond any better with any type of food.  So I can't learn from trial and error.

I need to know exactly what is DEFINITELY ok for a GERD person to eat!

There are no fixed diets for all.   You have to experiment and for great lengths of time to see what works for you.  Try to stay away from too many carbs, especially bad carbs.
Read, read, read....anything and everything about gerd.  Try and figure out how and when it started for you.  Food experimentation takes months.  ( for me low-carbing it,was an excellent start)
