I've started chewing sugarless gum when my heartburn starts up (usually after I eat). It really helps me. Hope it might help someone else. Happy chewing, Dee tongue

Thanks, I was always told not to chew gum because it caused gas but I just read on some man's website about GERD that he recommended it because it increase saliva which cuts acid. I tried it and it did work, now if only the gas doesn't come back. I also heard it on Paul Harvey's show today so I guess it is a pretty new concept. Also, do not drink cold liquids especially with a meal. It was a very good site and I am going to call him about an online book he sells. I don't want a book that tells me to take a bunch of herbs so he says call before you buy, so I will. Thanks.
