I have a hiatial hernia and GERD. I have been having a problem feeling full almost constantly. I can just drink a glass of water and feel full for hours. I had an endoscopy last week and he said there was some erosion. I don't actually talk with him until next week at my appointment. This has been going on for over a month and it is very difficult to eat when you already feel full. I have lost almost 5 pounds in a month. Does anyone else experience this and is there anything that will help. I am already on nexium. Thanks

I have GERD and am on Nexium too.  I also have a condition called gastroparesis.  That is the same thing I felt when it started.  Ask your doctor about doing a gastric emptying study (GES).

Is there anything that can be done for it. I am so hungry but it gets so uncomfortable when I eat. I feel as though my rib cage is going to just explode. Thanks for the tip. I will be asking the doctor about that next week.

Do a google search for gastroparesis and you can read a little more about it.  I never heard of anyone who has gp suffering from the pain in the rib cage.  Also, I don't hardly ever feel hungry.  If I do feel hungry, I can only eat a little bit...nothing with fat or high in fiber.
