For those of you who like me have a hiatal hernia along with GERD.

Has anybody tried repairing it by going to a chiropractor or kinesiologist?

I'm really curious about this. For the last 3 mo. I haven't been able to sleep without feeling like everything in my stomach is flowing back up to my throat, and then I wake up with this awful feeling. I don't get so much the hearburn feeling its more just like food or something coming up, pressure. I can't stand it!!!

I mean this GERD has already taken away the pleasure of eating whatever I want and now even a good night's sleep. HELP!!!!

I do have a problem with hiatal hernia also. I have never considered a chiropractor. I really don't like them. I tried once years ago, and ended up in more pain after he cracked my back. But for me and sleeping, I have my bed elevated approximately six inches in the front. This does keep the food from coming up. They do sell blocks to put under the front of the bed. Plus I take prevecid daily, and have to take gaviscon just before going to bed.
Hope this might help.

Thanks for the advice Ann,
My husband tells everybody that we are sleeping on a ski slope :) but sometimes even this doesn't help. I tried the apple cider vinegar a couple of days ago and I had the best sleep in a long time. I think I over did it yesterday though. I guess I'll let my esophagus heal first and then start from a small dose of ACV and work my way up to my limit.
