I am interested in knowing more about everyone, and interested in everyone getting to know me.

If anyone wants to do this, feel free, if not, that's OK too.

Here is the story of me...

My name is Tammy.
I am female.
I am 26 years old.
I have a 7 year old son.
I live in Ohio.

I am currently out of work due to anxiety issues that I am working on.
I love reading, writing, researching stuff on the internet, going for long walks in the woods, (when anxiety lets me) and of course, spending time with my son, and my boyfriend of almost 4 years.

That is a little about me...what about you guys???

Please note, no one has to do this.  You can say  as much or as little as you want, depending on what you feel comfortable giving out to us.  This is NOT manditory!!!  Just thought it would be neat to get to know eachother a little better.

If anyone has suggestions for other questions, put em up!!!

My name is Carla
I am 56 years old
I had to take early retirement last year.  I had been trying to work the past five years with severe asthma, taking my nebulizer to work, doing breathing treatments, missing a lot of work.  I was diagnosed with epilepsy August 2006 and I knew there was no way I could continue to work.
I have two beautiful grown daughters
I have one brilliant, cute, fun 6 year old grandson and 2 beautiful, drama queen granddaughters, one is 3 and the other one is 4.  I adore spending time with them.
The girls love shoes and purses just like their Gram.  All three of them are high maintenance.
I did make the mistake early this summer of serving them dinner outside with their own individual tables and chair, seated next to each other, linen napkins and table cloths, the works and candlelight.  They loved it.  Now they want to do it every time they come over.  The other night they had snacks by candlelight.  My little customers got a little too demanding the other night and I had to call a time out and tell them that Gram had to go do a breathing treatment and then I would be right back to wait on them.  They do understand what it means when I say I have to take a breathing treatment.  They all three instantly get quiet and they behave.  Sorry for rambling on about my grandkids.

I almost forgot, I also have two Himalayan cats, Neiman and Saks.  They are brothers.  I actually live in their house.

 Epilepsy, asthma, GERD, depression, hypothyroidism

Carla,

Thanks for responding. I think it is a neat idea for us to get to know eachohter better. I like to know who I am talking to, ya know????

No problem bout talking so much about your grandkids...I could talk about my son all day long! I know how that is!!!

Your grandkids sound amazing!

And, as for you living in the cats house...I know that feeling, as I have 2 cats of my own, and they rule here...funny how that happens, huh?

Again, thanks for answering! Loved hearing about Carla!

I'm Laurel

I am almost 40 (having a mid-life crisis--if there is such a thing--about turning 40 too)

I have three children (9, 7,5)

Married 11 years to my best friend

I live in Upstate NY---where there are beautiful mountains (the Adirondacks)---and clean air to breathe!

I love photography, hiking, camping, waterfalls, and canoeing......biking, campfires, etc...

Supposedly, I 'suffer' with health anxiety and anticipatory anxiety (WORRY)---and have all of my life! I just never had such a bad experience until this past May! I panicked about something---and the whole ball started rolling!

Right now, I am working out some GI/back issues with a Back Specialist and a GI Specialist (and a Chiropractor)---TOGETHER they (we) are supposed to see if my back issues are related to my GI issues (and vice versa)!

I have been tested for the following (the past two years):

Spine Xray
MRI (of mid-back)
B12 Deficiency
Physical Therapy
Celiac Test
Liver test
White Blood Cell Test
Red Blood Cell Test
Mammogram
Gall Bladder Ultrasound
Gall Bladder Hid-a-Scan
Abdominal Ultrasound
Stress EKG
Rheumatoid/Arthritis Antibody Test (?)

ALL CAME BACK NEGATIVE!!!!

I do have Fibroid Cysts on my right breast, and had one on the OUTSIDE of my esphogus two years ago!? Can't do much for those.....

I'm thinking I just gave myself a few honkin' ulcers over being a worrier of life----and am ready to move on!

Thank you Hope, for your response. It is nice to know more about you.

Congrats on all thoses tests coming back negative. That is a lot of tests...so great news there.

Your kids are young, and at exciting ages. I bet they keep you busy. I don't know how you do it! Sometimes I feel like a chicken with my head cut off with only the one kid! ha ha.

I wish I lived by mountains...I love looking at mountains.

I am glad we got to know more about you.

Looking forward to hearing your progress with your new GI.

Hey Tammy & Hope!

So nice to read your post as well and get to know you both. You both sound like you have amazing kids.

Yes, A goat Tammy.... Have a friend that rescues animals and I ended up taking it in. Or should say friend and goat ended up on my door step... :) Also a couple of horses that were also rescue cases.

Tammy looks like we do have a lot in common with the GERD and Panic ...etc.

Hope, The Adirondacks are beatiful. I lived in NY way back when for a few years and when I could get away we would head to the Adirondacks. You are lucky to have all that wonder around you.

You all take care and have a wonderful week.

Mia

I always find it fascinating to learn about the people on here. It's really nice to "know" who you're talking to. :) Great idea Tammy.

My name is Sherry, I'm 37 years old and I have 2 children. A son who's 16 and a daughter who's 12 going on 20 (and yes she even looks like a 20 year old! sad to tell the truth!). I've been married for 18 years to my one and only. I am a huge animal lover! Currently I have 2 dogs (Jack Russell/Beagle mix and a Black lab), 2 degus, 2 birds (white eyed conure and Cockatiel), a turtle and a few fish.

I'm an avid reader and love to read murder/suspense/serial killer novels as well as supernatural (fiction of course). I don't work because of many health conditions so I spend as much time outside as I can because I live in Michigan where the weather can be so fickle. So I take advantage of any nice weather we get! In the summer, I also like to ride with my hubby on his Harley anywhere.....it's so much fun.

So thats me in a nutshell. :)

Hi.my name is Rick im a 55 white male will be 56 in nov 15th .i love my older cars and trucks i still have a couple in my garage i use to take them to car shows but thats gone no interest .took an early retirment cause of the gerds and panic anxiety.the dr thinks i have ibs too wish he would make up his mind .not unless i can have both.i stay around the house alot more than i use too.i used to live in san diego alpine ca  loved it there but i moved to kansas to be closer to my family.i like writing songs but dont do much of that anymore .but i did some miner hit songs for some of the 60s and 70s groups.had a lot of fun at it.and know this disease has just taken over .i  sang in a group that i had in the 60s called the young youths. found that there was more money in writing songs.i feel now that my life is slipping away just not fair.my family says i still sound and sing as strong as i did years ago.and want me to get started again and i want to but.these panic attacks wont let me.i try to write songs i get about half way through and dont finish it i lose interest.i think depression is setting in.this is one of my favorite songs i did back in sep 1969 .when im so tired i can't take it of this life that iv been sold.i turn off the world around me and go drifting back in life as those same old country feelings. just come flowing across my mind.enough about me.you guys and ladys take care and remember we will beat this.keep it possitive .and tell this mean thing inside of use.we will take our lives back cause we are stronge.thanks for your time.
