I always hear that this can help people with acid reflux.  I was wondering if anyone knows the benefits of it with people with gastritis??  I have both.  Im on nexium and 80mg twice daily.  Thanks!

Hi there Nancy. To be honest with you, I don't know the answer to your question. I do know I have read a bit about using Apple Cider Vinegar for gastritis, and I have read that people do infact use it. I have no real experience with this though.

I hope someone does come along with a better answer, and I am sorry my answer couldn't be better.

Wishing you the best.

Hi Nancy,

I have tried the vinegar thing. I had not luck at all. Yet have heard of people that have. I know I gave mine only a week to see if it would work and if anything I ended up with more of the acid reflux thing going on. If that was do to taking the vinegar I don`t no. But do know after I did not take it the acid reflux settled back down. But have seen a few posting with people that have taken it and had luck and others that have not had luck. I will just stick to my med and diet. Have learned to stick to my diet. Still have some problems even with that like many do.

Best of health always,

Mia

Thanks guys.  I do know that when I take it, it does settle my stomach somewhat so something must be working.  Im seeing an alternative dr now too (nothing else is working) and he is going to have me try some new things.  The nice thing is that he not only practices alternative, he also practices western medicine too.

Hi Nancy,

That is great the vinegar settles you stomach. I wish I would have had luck with it. Let me know how things go with the alternative/western med goes. I just did the alternative a few months back. But think it was more of the person that practice it then the stuff I was on. Someone here where I live told me to try a DR that does both as well as just the alternative. So have been thinking about it. I got into such a mess the last time around when I went off all my reg meds. I was hit hard. So had to go back on them once again with all the side effects plus.

My one Dr is going to test me for the wheat thing. So will do that after the holidays are over and done with. Just cant handle test on top of the holidays. As if holidays are not enough stress... :)

Hope you get something that works for you and you feel much better very soon.

Take good care.

Mia
