Happy New Year everyone. I am from UK and interested in doing research on Psoriasis and Obesity. Mr Peter Waite has kindly agreed to support my work. Basically, research have found that psoriasis is associated with obesity, but till now there is no evidence that psoriasis can directly cause obesity. I myself have a chronic disease and understand how chronic diseases can limit people physical and social activity, lifestyle and self-esteem, but do you think that psoriasis can change appetite? Love to hear from your view. I know it is a sensitive issue to discuss. If you need more information you can email me on :-)

Hi Taldeen,

I am a single woman, close to normal weight :-)

But, yes, while trying to manage psoriasis by making changes in diet, I can see that I've shed a few pounds along with significant relief in psoriasis. Hence, I do realize the reducing body weight is a good sign for psoriasis relief.

This is an interesting case study about higher chances of psoriasis in obese kids
