My wife is on Humira, she has gotten her first 3 shots in the Dr's office. The first 2 were done by the Dr and the third was done by me in the office. I just tried to give her the shot at home and she has real bad anxiety about getting it. The first 3 were in the stomach and with her seeing what is going on, only makes it worse. The thigh is out of the question, so I'm wondering if it can be given in the buttock area. I know she wants to get cleared up, but when she gets so worked up, she starts to hyperventilate, it rips my heart out. Any suggestions?

Unless they have changed it, its in the stomach or the legs. Read your literature & you can also call her dr. I use to be terrified of needles & I especially was terrified of giving them to myself in the stomach. I did them in my legs. Always run the pen in your hands for a bit to warm up the medication & pinch up the skin. Helps to keep the stinging down.

Good luck.
