I just had my first cortisone shot in my knee on 6/29/09. Unfortunately, it only lasted about
10 days for me. It still is helping a little, but those cattle prod pains still hit me, so I am thinking the bad pain will return sooner than later. I have not had any side effects from them at all. I will tell you the relief I felt for that 10 days was awesome. I will try again maybe in August to get the shots again and hope for better luck next time. If not, I will have to give in and have the TKR's.

Been living with Crohn's Disease for 33 years. Currently on Asacol, Prilosec, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain, Zofran, Phenergan, Probiotics, Calcium w/Vit D, and Xanax as needed for my anxiety. Resections in 2002 and 2005. Also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, and Anxiety. Currently my Crohns is in remission, but my joints are going crazy!
