Was recently told after an x-ray I have mild progressive knee OA. The knee has some mild pain and soreness but am really having more trouble with the hamstring muscle. The muscle is painful and seems to knot up mid-thigh. Most of the knee pain is on the back side. Does this sound like OA? Should I expect muscle pain with that diagnosis. Thanks

I have bi lateral OA in knees.

My hamstrings do bother me from time to time. I find walking for at least 20min a day helps. I walk slow with my dogs.

I also take glucosamine 1500 in am and 1500 in pm, huge difference in pain level and range of motion.

If you doubt your diagnosis, take your test results to another ortho. doc.
