Hello! I’m new to the forum, but this is my second post. Just want to know peoples experience with using a massage chair to help with Osteo arthritis? Any suggestions would be great as far as what models, 3-D, 2D or 4D, heat or no heat, etc. My budget is about $4000-$2000. Also do you have any experience buying a used massage chair? Is that a good idea? Thanks in advance!

Hi there, I have really bad arthritis in my entire spine & cannot stand the massage chairs. They caused me much more pain so they are not for me. There is a lot of topical OTC things to try to give relief for arthritis pain. A good pharmacist can give suggestions on those products. Recently, Voltaren which is a topical gel for arthritis is now available OTC, before you had to have a prescription. It's available in most drug stores. I use it a lot.

If you have tied various OTC things, perhaps a visit to your GP is in order. There are medications available, depends on the severity of arthritis.

Take care.

You might consider a small hot tub. I have a very small triangular one that fits in less than a 5'x5' space. It's especially nice in cold weather even though it's warm inside. It has a cover to keep in the heat and keep it from steaming off its water. It's very low maintenance. It plugs into a regular outlet. Mine is in my bathroom, but it could be anywhere. I don't like the idea of outside though. It would be within your budget.

I don't have a lot of arthritis, but I do have pain from spine and other injuries. I got off opioids because they don't work for me, and this helps. It's nice just before bedtime to get me relaxed. Nice massage from the jets, a book and a very small glass of homemade wine - ahhhhh.
