This is my third virus for this year...I am sneezing with the watery eyes.  I took the ziacam and sure hope it works.  This is my second time taking it this fall-winter season.  Will take it again in four hours.  My second virus was more GERD like and did not have a lot of sneezing. This is very tiring for me.

Sure can relate. We have a virus here for two months running. Gets better and you think it is gone just to have it hit again. Doctor said it is a nasty virus that takes forever to leave. It is like it just hides out to wait until you are weak and hits you again. It is playing havoc with my asthma and diabetes. So not fun. Hope you feel better soon:)

yes...I seem to get sick during the change from fall to winter and from winter to spring. sometimes I lose my voice and it seems to be the same virus moving around and re-emerging.

hope we both feel better soon.

Joan and CeeBee,

I hope you both get better.  I think it has been going around in a lot of different places.  My oldest daughter had bronchitis and strep and didn't really get well.  She ended up in the ER on Christmas Day with an abscess in her throat.  She's finally doing better today.

Feel better!

I know how you feel...I am going through this now and its wiping me out. I cant stop sneezing and my eyes are watering so bad. Its going to my chest which is making my asthma flare up and i'm having a hard time coughing up all the mucus due to broken ribs. I have a bad feeling this is gonna be a bad year for colds. I thought last year was bad when I had bronchitis twice and the Norwalk virus also.

I had the coxachee (don't know how to spell it) virus one year with bumps in my throat. started with uncontrolled urine and then uncontrolled diaherria and then sores in throat, that was pretty bad. Read the Norwalk virus was very bad too. I am too wiped out but have to go out and shop for a couple of groceries first.

Yea the Norwalk Virus is very bad....I caught it when I was doing clinical rotations for nursing school at a hospital. My patient was infected with it and I was not notified and the virus is airborn spread. So it took about 12 hrs to hit me and when it did...it took me out for 3 days straight with a fever of 103 and on top of that is when I had brochitis for the 2nd time. So if u hear of anyone with Norwalk stay clear. It is commonly seen in the winter months.

Joan, she's not 100% back to normal, but she did work a while Friday afternoon.  I love her, but I have kept my distance because of my poor immune system.  I did see her for a few minutes Saturday and she seems to be feeling better, but you can tell from her voice that she is not well.  I did preach to her to finish her antibiotics.  She said she didn't finish them when she had strep and bronchitis a couple of weeks ago, she got to feeling better and her husband got sick and she gave them to him.  My daughter sells Anthem Insurance!  She knows better than this.  You have to finish your antibiotics.  Let him get up and go to the doctor.

Take care all!

Yes, you should always finish the antibiotics UNLESS you become allergic to them. Am better today. Last year I remember reading about the norwalk virus out west...hope it doesn't come here. I know what you mean about the poor immune system...that's why I came down with the shingles. My insurance company refused me the vaccine and then approved it when it was not available. We got to have a better system than this. ugh. I am feeling better from the use of zicam gel sticks which I am very happy to have found out about from my allergist. It is amazing when something works, right?

It is very cold here in THE GREAT NORTHEAST and we say take care and keep warm.
