adult whooping cough vaccine?

Just found out that there is a whooping cought vaccine on the cbs news last night.  I have been waking up in the middle of the night with this big phlemn (muccus) mess.  This is suppose to be a booster shot for adults.  Does anybody know anything about it?

yes it is the pertussis vaccine...if you are under 65 you can get it in the dtp shot if you are well enough along with your flu shot. I am going to discuss it with my allergist for next year if he has it and agrees it is appropriate.

(have severe arthritis but not epilepsy and no hypothyroidism - I have some high blood pressure too)

my allergist gave me my first dtp shot which i am extremely grateful for...have to sign off now as the lyrica for the shingles (second reoccurrence - php pain is making me very drowsy)
