As an asthma sufferer, I tend to have more problems with chemicals in cheap perfumes, cleaners rather than smoke of any sorts.
Chemicals trigger shortness of breath and congestion for me. Tobacco has yet to ever affect me.
I was recently in a hospital and the carpet cleaning chemicals caused a massive attack. Glad I was somewhere by which I could get help... and I was just there to see a friend.
I still sleep better if there is a window open at home and we don't have smokers in the home.
Finding your triggers can be troublesome some times. Good luck.
