I've never had this surgery but I'm wishing you a speedy recovery and hopefully the headaches will lessen. My best friend had a vein (?) rupture in her sinuses and had to have it cauterized eventually and had her nose packed as well. She still gets the headaches but not the nosebleeds (I think?) much anymore - she had this done about 2 years ago.

thanks...the vein rupture was before surgery or due to surgery?

Neither, it ruptured on it's own. She then had surgery to repair it.

iamloco,

I, fortunately have never had to have a surgery like this done either.  It just sounds most unpleasant, I wanted you to know I was thinking about you and hope all goes well.  Please keep us posted.

Take care!

iamloco, I had something very similar last Labour day. I felt generally sick for about two weeks. I think now (9 months later) it was definately worth it. Barely a sinus headache in the midst of pollen and wind season.
The percocet they gave me for pain made me feel like I had a fever, are you taking pain meds?

Hang in there

Just hang in there, I had two sinus surgerys 10 years apart similiar to your.. you are thru the worst..esp getting the packing out I thought my brains was coming out tooooo......Just be careful now with increasing sinus and allergies, After my first surgery it opened me up to allow all my allergins to get in and affected my lungs with asthma...My docter told me that was my bodies way of keeping the allergins out being all blocked up and pullips....diane
