I have this lump on my eye for 4 days, there doesnt seem to have any head that looks like a pimple, but i feels watery/lumpy. initially its itchy, but not now, it is a little painful only. yes and it is red.

everyday i use hot towel to reduce the swell and it works for the day only. and when i wake up the next day. it would become the original size, swollen! it has been like that ever since day 1. i am not sure why. can anyone help? ):

It can be a stye or it can be a cyst. Is it on your eye itself or the eyelid? How often do you use the warm compress? If it is a stye, I found that using a wet paper towel in a ziploc baggie heated in the microwave for about 10-20 seconds seems to work the best. You don't want it too hot - obviously. But I would use the warm compress about 2 times an hour. If it doesn't break open in a couple more days I would suggest you see an eye doc. The doc may be able to lance it or prescribe some drops. I had a cyst on my upper eyelid that made my entire eyelid swell - looked like I got punched in the eye! So I had to see an eye doc to have it surgically removed. It was on the upper lid so I can't tell you what it looked like. I have also had a stye but I had no trouble with it opening. Good luck and eye problems can be such a hassle to darn right painful!

it is on my upper eyelid, oh and i also haven been using some antibotic cream doctor gave me last time, and i realised that it expires on 30 may which means i've used it when its been expired for 8 days. does it do any harm to my eye?

i use the tea bag 1st, then hot towel then apply cream. but now i stop using it alrdy since just then i found that it expires alrdy. i do it maybe say every 2-3 hour difference or so?

is cyst more harmful than stye? till now there havent been any head of any pimple or so, its just pure swelling. and why do it get bigger after my sleep?

My cyst (or I should say the puffiness) always got bigger too when I slept. The only thing I can think of is maybe your body swells a bit while you're sleeping. I would wake up and almost couldn't open my eye and the swelling went down after using the warm compresses. If it is a cyst, an antibiotic cream won't do any good. My doc first prescribed steroid eye drops. It help shrink the cyst a bit but it didn't get rid of it which is why I had to have it removed. The way the eye doc explained it to me was that junk or debris can accumulate in the eyes. Sometimes it can lodge itself in the lid and the body's natural defense is to encapsulate it to prevent it from causing injury. I wouldn't say that either of them is really harmful (unless they're not taken care of) but both can be really painful. I think maybe it's time to see the doctor so they can prescribe any meds to try and/or give you advice.

It shouldn't. The doc numbed my eye up with some drops, these drops also caused me to lose vision in that eye for about a half hour (so you can't see what they're doing). He flipped my eyelid and cut it out from behind. I can still feel the indentation where the cyst was though but it's nothing big. The cyst I had was fairly large for an eyelid - about peasize. But good luck at the doctors!
