Thanks to all of you for keeping the forum going.  You are a wonderful group and you all are doing a great job.  It looks like we have some new people.  That's great.

I may be in and out the next few weeks as I feel up to it.  The recent bacterial pneumonia has left my asthma on shaky ground. I will have to take Prednisone for two more months to try to get me in a better place with my asthma.

I am also having to have both hips injected with steroids again tomorrow because I have bursitis again.  But, on the bright side, I am once again 90 days seizure free and can drive again.

I do want to say that it made me feel great when I came to the sight tonight and found that you all are responding to each other and the forum is rolling right along.

Big hugs to all of you!

Carla

Hi Carla, I too am glad you are getting better.  It's great that you have gone 3 mos without a seizure.  I know a little about seizures as my 34 yr old son has epilepsy.  He apparently was born with it but Dr. doesn't know what has caused it. He had his 1st seizure at age 19.  Went on dilantin  and was seizure free for 12 yrs!  All of a sudden the med stopped working and his seizures went out of control.  He was having grand mal and absence seizures every day.  Finally got a new wonderful neurologist who put him on 3 meds.  He had to take a leave of absence from work for several months while he adjusted to the meds.  I am happy to say he has been seizure free for 3 yrs now.  He was not allowed to drive for 1 yr.  I hope you continue to improve especially with your asthma.  I have asthma and it is no fun.  Have had a bad spell of it lately - may be due to the hot humid weather or dust mites or mold.  Don't know, I have to have 2 more lung function tests.  Good luck with the presdnisone.  I have taken it for the wheezing and it really helps but boy do I climb the walls.  Take care and I wish you the best for your recovery.

Aurora
