Peanut allergy these days is very common. They main thing is when he's school age to let all the teacher's know of this allergy so no one brings peanuts to class parties. Also, let all mothers of children he's friends with know about this allergy. Now, that you know use that knowledge and look up some info on the internet, just becareful with all the feed back you get. Ask his doctor this question. Be an informed parent and that's always the best thing.
As a side note a medic alert bracelet would be a good start in case of emergency.

Write this question down and take it to the doctor, It's a good question and you should get the best of help. Also ask his doctor what to do in case of emergencies.
