I was wondering what your experience is/was with Flovent if you have/had been on it?

I was on it for the past couple of months and it seemed to help at first but as time went on it seemed that my asthma was actually getting worse so my doctor took me off it till my Appt. Aug 15th. I have been off it for a week now and seem to feel better. I have had a couple of episodes since then but they have not been nearly as bad as when I was on Flovent. When I was on Flovent my chest and back tightness were horrible...I didnt even want to move and I would get sharp chest pain from time to time. But now being off it my chest and back tighness are not as bad but still there but im short of breath most of the day.

Hello Mia,
If your asthma is not doing well with the flovent then its time to go back to the doctor and let him/her know this, there are other medications you can be switched to that might help you better. I liked flovent, but was switched last year to a newer medication called Asmenex (sorry if I spelled this wrong) I like this newer medication better and it really helps with the back and chest tightness..
Get to your docotr as soon as possible and get a better control on your asthma!
That's so very important!
Keep us posted as to how your doing, okay!
Hope your feeling a lot better soon.
soft hugz....
