Well my doctor took me off Flovent and put me on Advair. What is your experience with Advair and what are the most common side effects u experience with it?

Just wanted to say hello to you!
Sorry I don't use advair, but someone will come along soon to help you, till then you can do a google search on Advair for patients to find out more on it and if you'll be needing to rinse it out. Lots of inhaler require you to rinse them out after use and to rinse your mouth out. A warm salt water mouth rinse helps, this is done to prevent a throat infection called thrush (sorry my spelling is off here).. I wish you good luck with the advair and sure hope it helps you, give it a couple of days before you start feeling better...
Good luck and keep us posted..
Lots of soft hugz......

The only side effect I experience is the $100 co-pay for the coverage of the disk!

I use advair. It takes alittle  time before you can feel the change.

I have been on it for almost 2 weeks now and I have been pleased so far. So much better than Flovent.

I used it for 3 months. It controlled my shortness of breath. My doctor switched me to Asmanex because I was still having frequent coughs while on Advair. It's been another 3 months, and I'm still having those coughs, so I don't know if they even have to do with the asthma.

It's possible the Advair actually made me more susceptible to colds, but that has yet to be proven. I also think it led to an increase in anxiety.

Whenever I was on inhalers, my throat would get wicked dry and scratchy. And from there it seemed I'd catch a cold and on and on. But then I tried Advair and it's the mildest on the membranes I think. I always forgot to drink a full glass of water or gargle after using the inhaler which probably caused some of the problem.
