I share the same allergy. Unfortantly what your allergist said is correct. With anaphylaxis you cannot take any chances. That means strict avoidance. Some people with food allergies do go to restraunts, but you need to talk with the manager and chef to make sure they understand how severe anaphylaxis can be. It is very good practise to not eat what you did not see or make yourself. It definitly puts some what of a hold on life. But then again.... restraunts are only restraunts... have parties and company at your place. You can work around it. And it does get a bit easier. Glad to hear you carry the benny and epi everywhere!
