Hi there! My name is Kyrena and I have 3 daughters. My oldest is Emerald, she is who I will be writting about right now.
ANywho. She has suffered from allergies all her life. Her Asthma is mild-moderate. Never been hospitalized. However, her eczema has comsumed her entire little life.
Her last blood test was done about a year ago. She is allergic to:
Sesame Seeds
Hazel Nuts
Dust Mites
Cat and Dof dander
Alder and Oak trees
Pretty sure that is that. We have all her bedding in encasings, we have 2 air purifiers running 24/7. We have no pets and no stuffed animals are in her room. We do major avoidance and she never eats anything she is allergic too.
Last May, she was started on oral Prednisone. That seemed to be our last try. She was unable to attend Kindergarten because she was literally too uncomfortable. We have very slowly tapered down. She started on 10ml (40mg) daily. And, one year later is taking 3ml (12mg) every other day. She takes Zyrtec, Flovent, Calcium supplements, Nose Sprays, Atarax and Benadryl. SHe moisturizes about 5 times a day.
Her IgE levels (last April) were at 7455
Currently, her skin is just simply amazing. I know that we have a ver long way to go in her healing process. I feel that I have literaly tried everything. I really REALLy want to learn more about Hollistic Healing for her. I have tried to do my research, but I am clueless. We recently moved from So Cal to NW Wa. Her doctor here is ok, but constantly back talks our decision with her previos doctor to treat with steroids.
I just want to know that we aren't alone out here in this terrible world of Allergic children. I haven't yet meet anyone who truly understands the struggles we have been through with her. How much money we have spent just trying to make her comfortable enough to sleep at night. Someone who undrestands that Cortisone and elidel dont do a darn thing for her.
Is there anyone who can relate? Maybe you can share some stories. I feel like i spend a lot of time researching the stupid interent. Just to come up empty handed and seeing that everyone else is doing exactly what we have already tried.
Sorry this is so long. Im just so frustrated, and tired and I just want me baby to feel "normal"
Does anyone know how I can include a photo or two?
 Thanks again everyone!

My Husband has a huge IgE like your daughter and has tons of food allergies, and I myself have all sorts of allergies/intolerances to foods/meds/pollen/etc., so we can relate to your frustrations in dealing with all of this. We live near Seattle. Email me offline (click on the mailbox icon under my user ID to the left of this message)...there is an outstanding Allergist I can recommend, who has literally saved both our lives.

I don't know how to do the photo stuff...maybe post the photos on another website and include a link in your post or signature line?

Take care,
Chronic Lyme Disease, Gluten & Sulfite Sensitivity, Many Food/Inhalant/Medication/Chemical Allergies & Intolerances, Asthma, Gut issues (dysmotility, non-specific inflammation), UCTD ("Secondary Lupus-Like Syndrome"), Osteoporosis, Pancytopenia, chronic malabsorption/malnutrition, etc.; G-Tube; Currently TPN-dependent.
Meds:  Zofran, Pulmicort, Heparin (to flush PICC line), IV Ceftazidime (for Pleural Effusion), Colloidal Silver (used topically).
