For the past several months, I have been experiencing an increased sense of smell. For example, when I walk through our shoe department, I smell strongly the rubber in the flip flops on the shelf to my right.

I believe this is called Hyperosmia. Is this Linked to my Asthma? This feels awkward.

I'm not quite sure if this is linked to asthma. So hopefully someone can come along soon and answer your question. However, I've noticed too that the flip flops as well as other types of shoes are giving off a stronger odor. It may be that they have changed materials or processes in making these things.

Since I have had asthma, I have noticed that I am keenly aware of scents of any kind. Since irritants cause me to have an attack, maybe I'm just more careful of any possible dangerous smells
