I have had a sore in my nose since the first week of September. I have occasionally put neosporin on it and that seems to help temporarily. It is very painful and I can often feel very headachy and cloudy because of it. My head has not felt well since this sore appeared. It is deep in my nose by my septum in one nostral only. My Dr. didn't know what it was and said it would go away and it hasn't. He thought maybe it was an in grown hair but I really don't think that would last 2 months with no sign of relief.
I am at my wits end. To have such an open sore in my nose last for so long that seems to hurt my whole head. It has bled and gotten crusty but for the most part it just hurts.
What do you think it could be?

Nose sores can be caused by a variety of reasons and unfortunately we are not doctors. One thing you can try is using a saline nasal spray. The moistness of the mist can help heal a nose sore if it's due to dry air. But I say that if you have had it this long that if you haven't seen an ENT that it might be wise to do so.

I'd see an ENT about it.
