Hi, I haven't heard of the inhaler you were prescribed but those are the same ingredients in Symbicort which is the long term inhaler I use. I have been using this for over 2 yrs and have no side effects. And the best part is I can breathe. I also have an albuterol rescue inhaler which I don't have to use very often unless I get a bad attack and close up. Maybe you should talk to your dr. further about
you med and ask why you were prescribed this one. Also ask if you should have a rescue inhaler. It's a good idea to have as much information as you can get before seeing your dr. and have a list of questions to ask. The steroids in inhalers are not the same steroids you may be thinking of. I also have prednisone for a serious attack that doesn't clear up with inhalers.
