Hi,

I wonder if someone can help me.  Everyday I have trouble breathing.  It gets worse in the evening where it feels like my throat is closing up.  In the morning I have lots of gunk in my throat that I constantly have to cough out.  But during the day I am completely fine.

I was wondering if anyone knows if this could be allergy or if asthma?   I have seen the doctor a few times and he always gives me antibiotics for a throat infection which does nothing.  I am also on medication for crohn's disease and am worried it could be an allergy for that.  But my consultant says not.

Please help!!

Lou

Do you have acid reflux? Sometime the acid gets in you windpipe causing a mucous build up.
It happened to me for three years. I hardly burned, but coughed and choked.

Hello Lou and welcome to HW. I read your post in Crohn's too and you have some responses from members there that may help you.

I think Couchtaker has a good point as you are on many meds for your Crohn's which could set you up for other GI problems.

Kindly,

Kitt
