I was just diag. with Asthma and have been put on Symbicort. I was told by one Pulmanary doc that I had muscular skeletal pain from coughing (not Asthma), went for a second opinion and was told I have Asthma. Does anyone else have sharp chest pains with their Asthma?

Oh, yes, Sophita,
It's the muscle structure around the lungs trying to keep things in place.

Yes, I've had chest pain with Asthma...didn't realize it and thought I'd injured myself while sleeping, but then when I got better meds for my Asthma, the pain disappeared.

Hi Sophita,
I get chest pains from asthma too. At other times the pain is caused by me getting sick. When sick the pain is worse, and sometimes in different spots.
