Yes, I know I should maybe go to a dentist but I can't because mine is far away. Anyway so early this morning I woke up and went to the bathroom I saw that my wisdom tooth was coming in but, all of a sudden part of my gums was purple around it. So dumb me decided to poke it but when I did this strange substance came out and when I smelled it I about threw up because it was so revolting. It almost looked like a pimple popped but there was alot of it. I'm not sure if this is normal or somethings wrong with my gums... please help.

You should still be seen by a dentist. It sounds like a possible abscess which might require antibiotics. If your doctor is closer, maybe make an appt to see him/her. But no, this is not normal...what you probably seen and smelled is pus.

Hi

I just had a wisdom tooth removed on Monday. I agree that it sounds like an abscess this happened with mine and the dentist gave me some antibiotics which did clear things up. He advised that I have mine taken out as they were impacted. I hope you get it sorted out.
