I've been to the doctors and they think i have mild asthma. However they didn't explain one really scary experience i had.

Basically i was in a huge rush to get to a store that was about to close, i ran as fast as i could and suddenly felt a tearing pain in my chest, after which i proceeded to wheeze for about a half hour.

It was really scary and i thought i broke something, but i guess i didn't since i'm still alive? Or then it healed? The doctor had no input on this event.

Is this any common type of asthma pain or should i seek more answers?

You probably had a muscle spasm with an asthma attack.
