Hi all,

we are well into allergy season here for me in oregon.  That being said I saw my GP last week he noticed my ear drums are swollen and I am draining everywhere as he put it.

Yesterday while watching TV my left sinus was so completely blocked it was aching so I was rubbing the area in hopes to help break up the pressure and open a passageway.  I successfully did this which then led to me using my sinus rinse and I got nothing out.  This morning I woke up and that side was completely blocked again and normally I lay on one side and the stuff drains into the sinus closest to the ground (thank you gravity) however this morning it wasnt budging.  I went to rub the area again but noticed just barely touching the area was painful.  I just left it alone.  I soon got up and went to see my boyfriend he said the whole area was all red.  the pain is about 1 inch andat the base part of the bone in the sinud under my eye (it starts about 1/2 inch to the side of where my nose ends and cheek begins).  The area is warm to the touch and redness is more than jujst the area that is painful.  it also hurts when I smile etc

When I blow my nose in the morning nothing came out of that side just the other which was quite dry and got out blood and the dry stuff was yellowish.  Again this morning I did my sinus rinse and ntohing came out.  I can breathe a little out of that side but the pain is still there

i took some tylenol but it is not helping I dont know what to do or if it could be something else

Sounds like congestion and swollen sinuses. You need a decongestant and antihistamine.

Been doing both with no releif sadly =( not sure what else to do except wait it out. The skin actually when even slightly touched feels as though I am bruised (but I have had no injury nor is it bruised)

That's the sinuses swelling up. I had mine do that a few weeks ago. It took antibiotics to clear it up.
