I have hay fever and have had it for many years then progressivly got worse and now in addition to other heal problems (listed in sig) I have oral allergy syndrome then back in 05ish (could have been 06) the ENT doc office I went to did a lab workup and found of course the hay fever allergies as well as certain animals I knew about and one allgery that never plagued me before which was a newly formed peanut allergy...that being said here is my issue

the foods I have issues with in oral allergy syndrome are too plentiful to list and some like celelry I even have issues if I use a chopper to cut it up.  Days other than the ones I need to cut up said foods so that I can cook them so I can eat them (or at least prep them for my family) I will get rd itchy rashes on my arms (occassionally legs but mainly the insides of my arms at most times near my wrists.

If I use rubbing alcohol on it it sometimes goes away or the itchyness goes away and other times I have to put hydrocortizone cream on it.  I am not using any new soaps detergents etc any thoughts as to what ould be causing this on days where nothing i  am allergic to is even in the house (food wise)?

You may have developed an allergy to something that has never bother you before.

Ask your doctor to do an ANA, IgA, and IgE test on you. You could be allergic to yourself.

I had a total body allergy...everywhere the winter before last and I thought I would go nuts. I use only purex detergent and bounce sheets for wash. both free of dyes and perfumes. i use only dove soap. i take the allegra antihistamine (it's a script and there is a generic). started out with two and then moved down to one. i had a rebound and then i took two again.

people don't get how horrific this can be. best wishes to you.
