There is some research that shows that allergies can cause increase hyper-activity in children with ADHD. As for the maple trees/syrup - well I can't really say for sure. I would think yes. Mainly because, for example, if one was to take bee propolis (a by-product from bees) and is allergic to bees than it would cause an adverse reaction. So I would think that the same would hold true to any tree by-products.
