I suffer from many, many allergies. I have many different reactions and they all strike at different times.
The doctors/nurses/skin specialists I have seen are baffled, some of them have said I'd be great for medical research... eyes
I have always suffered with eczema for as long as I can remember, which I was told Id grow out of. I'm now 20 years old and it's still making my life hell...
A few months ago I very happy because my eczmea had cleared up, there wasn't a patch of it anywhere, not even any dry skin... then BOOM! I wake up one morning covered in lumps... upon research I found out it was hives, the only other time I'd ever had hives was when I'd eaten something with egg in (I'm highly allergic to egg). I ended up in hospital and taking an epipen home.
Everything was causing them

Washing powder.

Orange juice.

After hoovering my carpets.

Every shower gel/shampoo/deodrant know to man.

The things that trigger them the most are tomatoes, I have a slight intolorance to them and when I began to avoid them they started to clear up.
I've got it all under control now. The one thing I cant control and DON'T understand is my bedsheets.
If I don't change my bedsheets reguarly, I get very icthy dry patches of eczema but when I changed my bedsheets often,  I will have a very unpleasant night and wake up covered in rather big sore hives. They go down once I get out of bed.
Sometimes (after having clean bedsheets) I can wake up covered in hives, that then turn into bruises and I can't walk.. It feels like I've been beaten up as I slept.
I dont think its my washing power because my clothes/towels dont bother me.
Only clean bedsheets...
If anyone has any ideas on what could be causing this HELP! Its driving me insane shocked shakehead confused

Oh my goodness. If it is not the laundry soap, maybe is maybe it is a chemical used to manufacture the sheets. You might want to take a look at the tag to determine the contents of the sheets. In addition, try purchasing new sheets made of different things. It sounds like you skin is super sensitive to a lot of chemical. Good luck.

Have you tried 100% natural sheets? Silk or cotton type?
I use a 100% cotton sheets. The type they use to make t-shirts out of.

after my bout with eczema (I had patches and the kind that looks like dandruff on your skin). it was itchy as heck.

i now use only purex no dyes, no perfumes and no additives laundry soap and bounce no dyes, no perfumes and no additives dryer sheets. it is more expensive but better safe than sorry.

i also found that the chlorine in the pool helped my skin. perhaps it was because indoor pools are humid and add moisture to your skin. all the dandruff looking stuff came off.

would definitely recommend the purex and bounce and best wishes. also used seldane dandruff shampoo to get the dandruff looking stuff off my scalp. use only dove soap because it is part cleansing creme. take good care of yourself and hope your situation improves.
