Hi guys,
Last Sunday morning I woke up with a swollen and itchy finger, figured I had been bitten by a mosquito in my sleep (I normally react to these anyway). Well that swelling got a lot worse over the course of the next few days - my finger swelled to 3x is normal size and spread to the rest of my hand and it was really painful. Luckily the swelling and pain subsided by the Tuesday. Around this time I noticed some very tiny pinpoint red/brown dots around by ankles, didn't think anything of it until yesterday i noticed it had spread to the backs of my knees and starting to appear on my upper thighs.
I've done a bit of research and the tiny dots sound like petechiae but petechiae has many different causes so I'm wondering if my allergic reaction could have caused this? Google just freaked me out with all the different things it could be like autoimmune disease etc.
Just wondered if anyone has experienced this after an allergic reaction? I'm thinking I'm gonna get it checked out with my GP on Tuesday anyway but hoping to put my mind at rest till then.
Thanks in advance!

I have never heard of allergic reactions causing petechiae. I also have the petechiae, however I DO have an auto immune disease. It's good that you are having it checked out - better safe than sorry.
