I was wondering if I may in fact suffer from this.  Recently I have noticed it more and more but mainly occurs on my arms.  When I do as they talk about online with writing your name on your skin to see if it occurs it doesnt however carrying groceries in (where the bags rest on my arms) or even when my husband and I just joke around where he will say hold one arm whiile he tickles me ..well the arm he holds (and no not hard or anything) will make that area get red and itch like crazy.  I have looked at images online and some reflect it mroe than others.  It does not get like hives when say I have food that I have oral allergy syndrome with but it does get puffy and pinkish red and so itchy I use hydrocortizone on it to get relief.  it will on occassion happen elsewhere on my body too but mainly ahnds and arms.  the lighting in my house isnt the best I could see the redness on my arm last night but my husband could not .

Does this sound like it could be what is going on?  Sometimes the rash will last up to an hour but have no other allergy type symptoms.  I do have Crohn's disease real food allergies lactose intolerance as well as asthma, hay fever, oral allergy syndrome just to name a few

thank you for your time

DU is not very common but it can happen at any time with no rhyme nor reason. To me, yes it sounds like DU. We have had a few posts on A/A about this. Try doing a search and see if you can find one of the posts.

I don't have the redness nor itchiness of DU but I do get weird impressions on my skin with the slightest pressure. It takes on whatever form is being pressed on my skin. Perhaps it is from the medications that is taken for IBD?
