My ears are itchy, like I want to just jam a Q-tip in there and circle around. My throat is a little sore as well.

I have eaten a handful of cashews and a few of those Nut Thins crackers in the past couple of days....could it be a reaction to one of those? Or is it seasonal allergy related?

I already can't eat gluten, dairy, fresh fruits and veggies...now nuts? Argh.

When my allergies are flaring my ears itch terribly.
My allergist used to perscribe an homemade earwash with grain alcohol and mineral oil mixed together. It burns at first then feels better.

I took a Zyrtec (even though I've been taking Singulair) right after I made the original post--the itchy ears went away in a couple of hours. However, I got really sleepy around 8:30. I do have issues with fatigue, but I don't get incredibly sleepy around 8:30 unless I didn't take a nap earlier that day (which I did). I'm very zombie-like this morning as well. I'm pretty sure I took both Zyrtec and Singulair in the spring, and I didn't have this problem.

I take Zyrtec with Singulair and at first they made me sleepy. But the longer I was on the combo, the less it did. Just be careful when eating nuts in the future. Your itching ears can possibly be from seasonal allergies but if you are having a true allergic reaction to nuts, it can go either way - benign or dangerous.

Weird thing is that I don't have problems with peanuts...I just don't understand my body!

Okay, so I ate some pistachios today and got the weird itchy ear thing. I had some pistachios yesterday and cashews all of last week and didn't have any issues.

However, I've been having more BMs since last week--I thought it was because Remicade was wearing off, but now I'm suspicious that it was the cashews (or the new veggie burgers I've been eating every day since Tuesday).
