I have a rash is spreading on my face, neck, chest, arms, and back. I also have chest pain and pressure. It is not poison ivy either.

There is something that might be giving me a rash. I did not think of this earlier cause I did not think it could be possible. For years we have had well water and just recently, (a week ago) , we now have city water, but it has Chlorine in it. Every time I take a shower with the new water, I break out in a bad itchy rash and I have bad chest pain and pressure. I am always cold so I put the water on hot and the steam from the shower I breathe in cause I always have my mouth open for some reason, and sometimes some of that water gets in my mouth and I swallow it. I did some research and it did say if you inhale it from the shower it can cause chest pain and the water can irritate the skin.

My question is: I have Angina, Am I irritating my Angina more by inhaling this substance every time I take a shower with the chest pain and pressure I am getting? Cause I never had a problem in the shower with the well water.
Any lotions I can try? The Calamine lotion is not working that well.

I can't answer the question about the Angina but there are things you can do to eliminate chlorine from your shower. Here is a link that may be useful:

If the link doesn't work, just copy and paste to your web browser.
You can try Benedryl cream to combat the rash.

It has been two weeks and I am still itchy with my rash. I wake up too alot during the night and my skin is very itchy. I have dots on my chest and small dots on my left arm and on my hips. I have hydrocortisone cream, but it helps to a point. I made another appt to see my dr on Thurs. Hopefully I can get some relief from the itchiness.

I did give you advice...did you try it yet? Chlorine filter shower head and Bendryl cream (not hydrocortisone)? But we are not doctors - we are support forum.

Since the itchiness got worse, I decided to go to the dr and she prescribed me hydrocortisone cream. I am going tomorrow to the drs again cause the cream is not working.
