Has anyone ever felt like Advair caused a dry, burning mouth? I have auto immune issues anyway that could cause this but it has been kind of bad lately and I wonder if it is the Advair. I would stop it to see if the mouth gets better but it helps my asthma. The pharmacist said this can be a side effect but nothing I read says this.

Jeanne, do you rinse your mouth well after using your Advair inhaler? It's really important to rinse with clear water and spit it out, to prevent the steroids from causing mouth irritation.

Oh yes! Always! Gonna get my B 12 checked tomorrow to see if that isn't a factor. Ugh~! It's always something!

Hi Jean,

did you get your burning mouth under control? I have something similar going on. I'm trying a b-complex as well. could it be linked to GERD?

Thanks.

max

Yea, the burning mouth settled down for some reason. I was low in Vitamin D and folate so I've started taking some vitamins. I am back to using the Advair b/c I need it so badly for my asthma. I don't think it was reflux b/c I take nexium. I take quite a few medications so I don't know if it was a combination of things or what but I am glad it has calmed down. I am also no longer on prednisone. They said it wasn't thrush... I tell ya, I can have some strange symptoms!!!!!! Is yours better max?
