Hello

I suffer from allergies and like many right now is a hard time.

I take claritin-D because I get really bad sinus headaches as well.

But the past few days I been having some phlegm in my throat. Its really starting to bother me! My throat feels sore because of it.
am sure its not a cold.

I did run out of claritin and hadn't taken it for at least 7 days but I have taken it the past 2 days.

Do you think I should try a different med at this point?

Thanks

You may need a dose of Benadryl in addition to the daily claritin to re-establish control over your symptoms. Only take the Benadryl once (or twice, 4-6 hrs. apart) but continue the Claritin-D as per normal and see what happens.

Thank you for the reply!

I dont know why I didnt think of taking Benadryl. I do it when my daughter gets bad allergies (doctor recommended giving her claritin in the morning and take Benadryl at night)

I will try that for a few days and see if my symptoms clear up :)
