Mods -- this is a cross post from the crohns forum.

Anyone ever have a severe reaction to a bee sting while on methotrexate?  I've always had a mild reaction, swelling of the area, itching, etc. but on Saturday afternoon within 15 minutes I was breaking out with hive head to toe.  I ended up going to urgent care and was told to take benadryl (already took 3 with no effect). The mtx is the only  change in my meds since the last time I was stung, so I guess I'm trying to find some correlation between the two.  Just wondering if anyone else had similar issues.

Going to PCP to get a script for an EPI pen.

I haven't been stung yet (and I hope not to!) but I am on similar meds - 6mp and Remicade. However, my body tends to overreact to certain things now. So it's very possible that the MTX caused you to become more sensitive to these things.
