Another article today in the news, take caution with children and the use of Advair. From 2004 to 2011 there have been 1,900 asthma related "adverse events" with the use of advair and other meds, and there to date has not been any studies of advair and children, However a study is being planned but the outcomes will not be known until 2017, years away. In 2006 a warning was issued with increase risks of asthma attacks.
In july the makers of Advair agreed to pay 3 billion to the Department of Justice ffor fraudulantly pushing Advair.
This article is by David Graham (FDA Physician) and published in The Houston Chronicle.
Please read this article and then consider if you want your child on this medicine, an adult study will also be done and released in 2017, seems to me these studies should've been done before now, and for me Advair made my Asthma worse so I cannot recommend anyone to use this medication, I know some here have been helped by this medication, and I do sincerely wish you well on this medication, however it might get yanked from pharmacies so be forewarned. For children try all other medications out there before being pushed for Advair. For adults try what you think will help.
