I have been through the ringer with this crap. Three months of what could be called hell, then gallbladder removal , did not fix the problem. Put on all kinds of crazy meds, then found out this was the problem. Since May this has been going on and three weeks ago I went to the allergist and he came to this conclusion. I have not eaten anything that I should not since then, but still have a daily issue nausea and headaches. Could this be just lingering around since I had been eating the bad stuff and felt like crap for so long? I hope someone can identify with me and maybe hep. This sure does suck since we are in the south. And everything we do is outside, that's how I got this from deer hunting. Had to vent a little. confused

  • I had a crazy one happen today. We had a BBQ ( chicken and turkey  burgers) and something triggered it. It was not the same as the other times meaning that it happened quicker and did not last as long. Started about an hour after eating and consisted of feeling dizzy and off balance I took two Benadryl and it started to taper off.  Could have been something in the sauce or the mayo in the potato salad or maybe even the residue from previous BBQ that was on the grill. So far the only sure bet is baked chicken or a chicken sandwich from burger king. I tried some turkey ham but had a bad reaction to it also. I read that it could have been the gelatin in the ham. Milk  in small portions does not bother me hat bad, just makes me feel full for awhile. My wife bought some coconut milk at my request ( leaves a lot to be desired ) and I will try it tomorrow with some cereal. Will keep y'all updated.

Has anyone found definite info on whether the allergy will go away if meat and getting bit again is avoided?

It seems to be that if you avoid the bite you might be able to get back to normal. But that is a maybe according to the info that I found. Gonna try and eat a deer Burger tonight and be ready with the benedryl and epi.
