Are you sure it's from your sinuses and not from allergies or gerd getting into your sinuses?

KSD

My sinus surgery failed also. My ENT has had me trying every spray on the market - thankfully mostly with samples because they are expensive!

The only thing that has been helping, after antibiotics get the current infection stopped, is budesonide in a sinus wash bottle. Budesonide has to be ordered mail order directly by the doc. You can't just get an Rx for it. The supplier keeps sending new wash bottles and salt and charging me $40 on top of my insurance, but I need a new Rx and am going to negotiate not getting stuff I don't need. I like my NeilMed bottle better.

I make my own saline mix, as directed by my allergist, with 1/4 tsp salt and a pinch of baking soda. I use warm water and add the budesonide. It makes a difference from plain saline rinse. Not perfect, but definitely decreases the swelling of the tissues, allowing better drainage and hence, fewer infections.

Different people get relief with different methods. Keep jumping through the hoops.

I use the NeilMed too with his mix, but I put a 1/4 tsp of Xylitol (A sugar substitute--- google it) in it each time now. Clears me up in a week or so if I get a flare up. NeilMed is great, but my results are better after the addition of the Xylitol.

so glad others have got the same, i had 3 surgerys on my nasal passages, sinus rince sinus sumit or other and tonisils removed and adanoids removed and pollups removed annd stillll sinusitus atleast once a month to every other month, antibiotics all the time not good on the belly.

i tried neilmed and wow it really helps, okay the problem is still there but the amount of pain and discomfort is lessoned by miles : )

i put to sachets of the nasal wash and it makes a diference and i like the feeeling its cleaning up there lol

also i take fluxonate nasal spray every day, and when i forget to take it is when it startf playing ip Ohhh and i quit smoking as that made it so bad!

think allergies are the issue and keeping them at bay is the answer butno cure sadly

Yeah surgery failed me too. I don't think it works at all for chronic allergies, which cause the infections.

The only thing that helps me now is a nebulizer but not sure you can take it long-term. It has antibiotics and steriods in it. Singulair is great too for congestion at least but the impact on my mood sucks.
